HomeSaleForms.com was developed by Attorney James J. McGrath, IV, who has been licensed to practice in the State of Ohio since 1989. Having prepared and coordinated the execution of required documents for numerous home sales throughout his private practice, he initially developed and marketed a do-it-yourself sales package specifically tailored to Ohio law in 1998. The product having been well-received, Mr. McGrath recognized that it served a significant demand in the for-sale-by-owner market, and began to examine further serving that need in each of the United States and the District of Columbia. Determining the Internet to be the premier means of delivering this product, he committed to the development of a web site to serve for-sale-by-owner customers nationwide. Beginning in early 1999, Mr. McGrath began reviewing the codes and statutes of each of the United States and the District of Columbia, to determine their real estate purchase requirements. At the conclusion of his research in mid-2000, he and professional associates brought into the project formed the company which began creating, editing and assembling a series of raw documents and databases specific to each jurisdiction and containing both required and recommended residential real property sales materials and forms for use by the consumer public. These raw materials were formatted and incorporated into what is now HomeSaleForms.com, the do-it-yourself source for all of the information, forms and documents needed for buying or selling your home.
